Why Individual Profiles Matter

Each child in your whānau has different strengths, interests, and learning needs. LearnSpace uses individual profiles to personalise the experience for each tamariki — tracking their progress separately and adjusting difficulty to match their level.

Adding a Child Profile

  1. Log in to your LearnSpace parent account.
  2. Go to Settings and select Child Profiles.
  3. Select Add Child.
  4. Enter your child's first name, year level (Years 1–8), and date of birth.
  5. Save the profile.

Your child can now log in from the home screen by selecting their name. Each profile has its own dashboard, progress history, and app settings.

How Many Profiles Can I Create?

The number of profiles depends on your plan:

  • Solo Plan — 1 child profile
  • Family Plan — Up to 3 child profiles
  • Whānau Plan — 4 or more child profiles

If you need more profiles than your current plan allows, you can upgrade your plan at any time.

Editing a Profile

To update a child's details:

  1. Go to Settings then Child Profiles.
  2. Select the child's name.
  3. Update their name, year level, or other details.
  4. Save your changes.

Changing the year level may adjust the difficulty and content in some apps to better match curriculum expectations for that year.

Removing a Profile

If you need to remove a child profile:

  1. Go to Settings then Child Profiles.
  2. Select the child's name.
  3. Choose Remove Profile.
  4. Confirm the removal.

Removing a profile will permanently delete that child's progress data. This action cannot be undone, so please be certain before proceeding.

Switching Between Profiles

Tamariki can switch between profiles from the home screen without needing the parent password. If you prefer to restrict this, you can enable profile switching protection in your account settings, which requires the parent PIN to change profiles.

Keeping Profiles Up to Date

At the start of each school year, update your tamariki's year levels so that the apps continue to serve appropriate content. This takes just a moment and ensures the learning stays on track.
