No School Code Needed

LearnSpace NZ is designed for all whānau across Aotearoa, whether or not your tamariki attend a kura that uses the platform. You can sign up directly and start using all three apps — MyFeedback Pro, Word Wand, and Monster Maths Lab — without any school affiliation.

This makes LearnSpace ideal for families who want to supplement classroom learning at home, or for whānau who are homeschooling.

How Independent Sign-Up Works

The process is straightforward:

  1. Visit the LearnSpace NZ website and select Get Started.
  2. When asked if you have a school code, choose Continue without a code.
  3. Create your parent account and choose your plan.
  4. Start your 7-day trial for $2 NZD (GST inclusive).
  5. Set up child profiles and begin exploring the apps.

Your tamariki will have full access to the same NZ Curriculum-aligned content that kura across Aotearoa use.

What Your Tamariki Get Access To

MyFeedback Pro

An intelligent writing feedback tool that helps tamariki improve their writing with personalised suggestions aligned to the NZ Curriculum.

Word Wand

A camera-based reading companion that supports tamariki as they read physical books, providing pronunciation help and comprehension support.

Monster Maths Lab

A fun maths practice app where tamariki earn monster rewards as they work through curriculum-aligned maths challenges.

Connecting with a School Later

If your child's kura begins using LearnSpace in the future, you can link your existing family account to the school. This means your child's progress and history are preserved — nothing is lost. Contact our support team or ask your child's kaiako for the school code to get connected.

Learning at Home

Independent whānau often find it helpful to set a regular routine for using the apps. Even 15–20 minutes a day can make a meaningful difference. Check out our guides on supporting reading at home and supporting maths at home for practical tips.
