How School Signup Works

Getting Started with LearnSpace

Setting up your kura on LearnSpace takes just a few minutes. This guide walks school administrators through the signup process, from creating your account to activating your first apps.

Before You Begin

You will need the following details ready:

• Your school name and MOE number
• A school email address (e.g. admin@yourschool.school.nz)
• An estimate of your current roll size
• The name and role of the person setting up the account

Step-by-Step Signup

1. Visit the Schools Portal

Head to the LearnSpace website and select Schools from the top navigation. Click Start Free Trial to begin the signup process.

2. Create Your Admin Account

Enter your full name, school email address, and a strong password. You will receive a verification email — click the link to confirm your address.

3. Set Up Your Kura Profile

Once verified, you will be prompted to enter your school details:

• School name — as it appears on the MOE register
• MOE number — used to verify your kura
• Roll size — this determines your plan tier
• Region — your school's location in Aotearoa

4. Choose Your Plan

LearnSpace offers three roll-based plans: Starter Kura, Growth Kura, and Campus. All plans begin with a 7-day trial for just $2 NZD (GST inclusive), so you can explore the platform before committing.

5. Activate Your Trial

Confirm your plan selection and your trial begins immediately. You will have full access to all apps included in your chosen tier for seven days.

What Happens Next

Once your kura account is active, you can:

• Invite kaiako to join your school workspace
• Deploy apps such as MyFeedback Pro, Word Wand, and Monster Maths Lab
• Configure classes and assign tamariki to the appropriate year groups

Your trial gives you complete access, so take the time to explore how LearnSpace supports NZ Curriculum-aligned learning for Years 1–8.
