Designed for Aotearoa New Zealand

LearnSpace NZ is built specifically for the New Zealand education context. All three of our apps — MyFeedback Pro, Word Wand, and Monster Maths Lab — are aligned to the New Zealand Curriculum and informed by Te Mātaiaho, the refreshed curriculum framework that guides teaching and learning in English-medium kura and schools.

Year Levels Covered

Our apps support tamariki from Years 1 through 8, covering the full primary and intermediate school range. Content is carefully tailored to the expected learning progressions at each level.

How Content Adapts

When a learner's year level is set in their profile, LearnSpace automatically adjusts:

  • The complexity of tasks and prompts.
  • The vocabulary and reading level used in instructions.
  • The curriculum objectives and achievement indicators targeted.

Kaiako and whānau can update a learner's year level at any time from the learner's profile settings.

Our Apps and the Curriculum

MyFeedback Pro — Writing

MyFeedback Pro provides structured feedback on tamariki writing. It aligns with the English / Communication strand of the NZ Curriculum, supporting skills such as spelling, grammar, sentence structure, and text organisation across Years 1-8.

Word Wand — Reading

Word Wand is a reading companion that helps tamariki build comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency. It supports the reading progressions outlined in Te Mātaiaho and adapts to each learner's level.

Monster Maths Lab — Mathematics

Monster Maths Lab offers engaging maths practice aligned to the Pāngarau / Mathematics and Statistics learning area. Topics include number knowledge, algebra, measurement, geometry, and statistics, scaffolded across year levels.

Te Mātaiaho and Ongoing Updates

As Te Mātaiaho continues to be rolled out across Aotearoa, we update our content and learning objectives to stay current. Our curriculum team works closely with practising kaiako to ensure our apps reflect what is being taught in New Zealand classrooms today.
